LABOUR AND THE LAND - CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS NOT WANTED
MR WILLIS BUND AND THE PROBLEM
We may expect to see German prisoners working on the land in the Vale of Evesham very early in the New Year. Mr J R Wright has received a letter from Captain Fellows, staff officer for prisoners of war, stating that the War Office has now definitely approved the scheme. Colonel J Winnington, DSO, has visited Evesham this week, and has inspected the new drill hall in Bengeworth and the old Manor House, at Badsey, and has expressed his approval for both places as suitable for housing the prisoners.
