My darling Husband,

I must send you a line before post-time in answer to your nice long letter received this morning.  Charlie came down yesterday & will stop till they all go up together on Thursday.  We go on to Ramsgate tomorrow morning, I hope May will soon get used to her cousins there, she is better now & only has an occasionally cry when she is with me & thinks she has got to go away.

I took her to the children’s service this afternoon.  Give my love to Jack & Kitty & tell them Mamma will be very glad to see them again; kiss them & Baby for me.

We have had lovely weather & I have enjoyed being here, but shall be very glad to get home to my dear ones.  I think however it has done May good, I wish you could have seen the dinner she eat today.

Charlie is waiting to post my letter, so with fond love

Believe me
Your loving wife

Eugénie N Sladden
