My dear Juliet,

As I hope to see you tomorrow I will only write a card this week; I was glad to get your post-card.

I expect you were delighted to see Ethel & Cyril.  Will you tell Ethel that she is invited as well as us to dine with Canon & Mrs Gardiner at the Grand Hotel on Monday & that I am accepting for her; I will bring down her evening dress, also Kath’s cloak which she will lend her; I daresay Aunt Lottie would let her sleep with her that night.

With much love to you all & to Auntie hoping to see you tomorrow

I am
Your loving mother

Eugénie N Sladden
