My Dearest Wife,
I will commence a letter at home this evening lest, as is probable, I may find little time for writing to-morrow for besides other matters we expect Mr Ramsden down. I hope Kitty has made herself quite at home by this time and began to say “funny things.” Yesterday it was so wet that Miss Savory was unable to come but she was here to-day and took the chicks for a walk afterwards, I hear they were quite good and Phyllis gives them a good character this evening. When I came home Jack said he had got a loose tooth so I pulled it out, one of the upper ones, he does not flinch much. To-morrow morning they are to go and see the meet at the Vicarage and Mr Hunt has kindly offered an upstairs window. I am glad to hear it seems likely that Fred will get a good slice of his aunt’s property. I heard from my Mother to-day and forward the letters.

I have nothing to add to-day, will write a line to-morrow and hope to be with you on Saturday.
